August is here and for all you golfing fans that is a wonderful thing because not only is the weather perfect, but it is National Golf Month!

I’m not a golfer myself. I have tried it and I just don’t have the knack… but a lot of people really love golf, and they also love the sexy, sporty golfing outfits some of the gals put on to play with the clubs and little balls.
If I had not known it already.. I sure would have figured it out after myKendra Wilkinson The Sexy Costume Babe  post from last February. Her cute golfing outfit pictures are amongst the most viewed images from that month.

So… since this is a racy costume site and not a golfing site…
I bring to you my favorite golfing cutie costumes for August – National Golf Month 09.

I saved my favorite for last. This one is called the Flirty Golfer Girl Costume... I however call it the Perfectly Pink Queen of The Swingers Costume. Ya, you heard me. This outfit is just sexy as all get out. A pink v-neck short sleeve shirt, a pink plaid mini skirt with a side pleat and decorative buttons. A matching pink plaid hat, striped socks and golf glove. It makes me want to try my hand at golfing again!

July is National Blueberry month.
Considering that this is my very favorite berry and I eat them all the time I am cool with that. If any berry deserves it’s own month it is the blueberry.

The USDA declared July to be blueberry month back in 1999 stating that Blueberries are grown in 35 states in the US, and the United States produces over 90% of all of the blueberries in the world.
That’s cool, but even better yet is that not only are blueberries very good for you… they are yummy.

Since I love blueberries and wanted to do a post here on Getting Racy Costume Blog about blueberry month I immediately thought of blueberry costumes… the funny part is that when i think blueberry costumes my first thought isn’t of a racy costume.

It’s of Violet Beauregarde

Violet Beauregarde as a blueberry

Violet Beauregarde is the third of the five children to find one of Willy Wonka’s elusive Golden Tickets in the Charlie and the chocolate factory movie. She is a crazy gum chewer. Played by Denise Nickerson she is an over achiever and highly excitable. She is also the only kid besides Charlie himself to get a golden ticket all on her own.
In the movie Willy Wonka has invented a gum that is a three-course dinner: tomato soup, roast beef and blueberry pie. Wonka warns Violet not to chew it. Violet argues that she holds the world record in chewing gum and begins chewing it anyway. She claims it is amazing, but when it reaches the blueberry pie her face begins to turn blue. Soon her entire body turns blue, before expanding like a balloon being blown up and then becoming similar to a large blue ball. Willy tells the Oompa Loompas to roll her to the juicing room to be squeezed of the blueberry juice that had built up inside her.
This particular scene has one of my favorite lines from the whole movie …
“Violet! You’re turning violet, Violet! “
I just love it!

O.K. … enough of that. Violet Beauregarde is cool, but sexy? No!

Back to the land of Racy Costumes

First we have the Blueberry Girl Costume
Usually you see this costume on a brunette running around with a friend  dressed  in a Strawberry Girl Costume. It’s that Strawberry Shortcake thing ya know

This racy 3pc blueberry girl costume from Leg Avenue consists of a bonnet, peasant top dress with charms and attached apron and striped stockings. The first time I saw a girl in this outfit I actually said "yum" .. her cheeks turned so red I thought she might turn into a strawberry. This is a super cute costume and you can never go wrong with super cute. at least not in my book.

 And next we have the Blueberry Muffin Costume

It's Blueberry Muffin and She's Your "Berry" Best Friend! - Yep it's an official Strawberry Shortcake costume and it is also just cute as all get out. This costume features Light and dark blue checkered sleeveless dress with attached apron, matching puff arm bands, green and white striped knee high stockings, and blue hat with lavender ribbon.

Both costumes are cute, both costumes are racy, both costumes are perfect because they are all about yummy blueberries…. and that’s all I have to say about that!

The 4th is fast approaching and that means fireworks, barbecues, beer, wine, parties and …fun – fun – fun!

So far i have only been invited to one shindig and luckily for me it was a semi-costume party.
Yep… it’s an almost costume required shindig.
The theme is Red, White, and Blue or Stars and Stripes… costumes encouraged.
So people are to dress accordingly, but not necessarily in costumes.
If I am able to attend (I don’t know yet) I think I shall just go with black slacks and a red white and blue – star spangled vest. No shirt of course as I think it will be warm and it is a rare thing to be able to dress in such a manner in Wa state.
I will most likely arrive with a star spangled Uncle Sam top hat to complete my ensemble, but usually such things as that are lost after one or two glasses of wine if you happen to be me… so i don’t really consider it part of my permanent party attire.

So with that all said…
I spent some time surfing around looking for what I was to call my favorite racy 4th of July costume and I found…. less than I desired.
So, no favorite, but i did find a few liked.
First on my list is this
Firecracker costume.

This sexy costume was kind my favorite.
With a corset style peasant dress look all in red, white and blue it is very patriotic and charming. The satiny white bust and off the shoulder sleeves make it have a naughty and nice look while the apron and skirt say…” come on over, I’m sweet and I won’t bite ”
The ruffled trim so rarely included in a costume is included in this one and so is that cute matching headpiece you see.
The Sexy Firecracker costume is all new for 2009.

Next up we have the
Aunt Samantha costume

This costume really wasn’t a fave of mine, but I included it because it is… well…
It’s about as 4th of July as you can get in a costume.
A shimmering sequin halter style dress with a blue and silver top and a red and white striped skirt create a great 4th of July image. It comes with a red, white, and blue star and stripes mini top hat for you to lose after a few glasses of wine (oh wait… that’s me that does that)
What is cool about this costume is it is sexy and shows of those nice legs you have earned this spring on the treadmill… yet it is also just tame enough that it can be worn at pretty much any , but the most lame of parties.
In other words … It is more patriotic looking than sexy, yet still sexy enough to make everybody say “wow!”

Our third costume is included because I just friggin liked it and it almost fit…
Here is the
Sexy Liberty Belle Costume

It doesn’t really fit the stars and stripes theme… but it is patriotic, so I am including it here for the heck of it.

O.k.
Now, my favorite 4th of July costume wasn’t actually a 4th of July costume.
However – if you ditch the hat, or replace it with a different more suiting one it not only makes a great sexy 4th of July costume…. It makes a great – no, stupendous, no awesomely amazing … umm… you get what I saying. It’s pretty darn good!
So, Here it is.
The Ahoy Matey costume.

I really love this costume.
Red, white and blue… and as cute as a costume can get.
Sheer puff sleeves, delicate trim and sequined accents on the red, white and blue satiny dress come together perfectly. The white petticoat is attached and even though I am recommending this costume to be used as a 4th of July outfit without the hat… the hat is pretty cute too, so keep it around for some other time.

My last post about getting dressed up as a bunny made me start thinking about a few bunny ear girls I have seen and liked.  Thousands of girls have dressed up over the years as sexy bunnies and for that we have Playboy to thank. I don’t think anybody can argue that without Playboy Magazine we would not associate girls in bunny ears as super sexy the way we do. Not that it wouldn’t be cute and sexy… we love all the little fuzzy animal ear costumes, cats especially. The bunny however is the dominant choice all because of Playboy.

So, with that ramble out of the way… I give you some of my own personal faves.

It is almost Easter. Holidays are my fave as you all know by now because they give such a great excuse to dress up. Easter is more of a serious holiday not really aimed at parties and the like,  so it doesn’t lend itself so well as other holidays in that regard. It does have bunnies and Easter egg hunts and little baskets filled with straw though.

Coming home to find your darling all dolled up as bunny is a sweet surprise. You could even make a game of it and leave him a note telling him it’s egg hunt time. Hide the eggs with each one giving a clue as to the location of the next until it leads to you… super fun.

If you want to take this game to the limit you could hide the eggs around town (very well so nobody else finds them) and have them lead to a hotel room. Have it all set up romantic with you in a bunny outfit holding an Easter basket with champagne and chocolates. wow!

If that is overboard for you.. the simple act of being in a bunny outfit when he gets home will be awesome enough  I am sure. Plus just getting dolled up as a bunny is easy and not expensive. You can get sexy ears and a tail for under $10. or you can get some very nice full costumes at …….
