It finally seems that the main costume manufacturers are figuring out that when couples go out on Halloween they may both want to dress up to look good.
This year instead of the usual bunch of couples costumes that make the girl look sexy and the guy look ridiculous they have introduced plenty of costume sets with the guy actually able to look pretty darn good.

For example….

Check out this butler and maid costume duo.

These are some sexy costumes and perfect for any couple that wants to have class, be pimp stylin, and have sex appeal.
The male costume is called “Butler Justin Credible”
This  costume includes a button front butler coat with white tuxedo shirt dickie and Satin bowtie. A top hat, removable “Butler Justin Credible” name badge and white gloves.
You will look great in this costume and so will your lady in her….
“French Maid Miss Dee Lightful” costume.
This is one of the sexiest french maid costumes to come out this year.

I usually don’t like spooky mixed with sexy as it most often is a huge failure, but this couples costume set actually works.
It originally caught my eye because at a glance it looked like the butler from the previous picture took a turn for the worse and I thought it was funny….

Anyway, this costume set works and people will love it. The only problem I see is that it will be super popular with Tim Burton fans searching for Corpse Bride costumes and if you are going to a large party somebody else may have went with this one too.
The thing that makes it o.k is that you can go with the male costume and then get a different corpse bride costume to mix it up. Tons of dead bride costumes are available and many of them are very sexy. Some aim towards the pretty side and others get more racy… but you have lots to chose from.

The Grooms outfit is called “Corpse GroomBarry D’Alive” costume.
It includes a deadsexy crushed velvet jacket with attached Satin button front vest, top hat, bowtie and removable boutonniere.

The Brides costume is called “Corpse Bride Diane Toluvya“.  Don’t you love these fun names?
It includes a stretch knit off the shoulder dress with luscious lace in the center, rose ribbon details along the bust, tulle attached to the skirt and lace petticoat. A dark and lovely veil with roses headband, bouquet, and garter.

So…… Sticking with the suit theme….

How about Zoot Suits ?

This couples costume set  is slick.
One of the things I like about it is that the female costume actually comes with trousers instead of a short skirt.
Don’t get me wrong, i love short skirts as much as the next guy, but just like sexy men’s costumes…. sexy cut women’s costumes that don’t have a short skirt involved are becoming a rarity.
If however you just can’t do a costume without a short skirt… no worries.
A version exists.

Consider this the more racy version…. but no matter what rout you go, the costume set is great for couples.

I will give ya one more couples costume set then.

O.k…. I admit it.

I included this set because of the costume names. They just cracked me up.

Even so… I like the costumes.
The main reason I like them (besides the names) is because of the mans costume. Most primitive, cave man, jungle man, wild man costumes are done in one of two ways. Goofy and funny while covering you up so you don’t look to bad if you are not an Olympic athlete… or they are made for people who are built like Olympic athletes.
This costume is right in between.
You need not be Hercules to look sexy in it and it isn’t cut in a way to make you look like a joke.
  

That is actually one of the things that made me include  all of the costumes I have shown. None of them require you to be built like Arnold to look good in them.

My hot August list of new sexy costumes for 2009.

This month I am shying away from the normal and going for some themes you don’t see every Halloween.

Do something different this year.

1) My # 1 top pick for for august is this Enchanting Queen of Hearts costume.

This is my favorite new sexy costume this month because it is very elegant, very enchanting, very glamorous, and very sexy.

Plus I really want to see Tim Burton’s new Alice in wonderland movie coming to a theater near me soon!

2) My second pick for new for 2009 sexy costumes this august is this sexy clown costume.

Why a clown costume?

Because clowns are not usually sexy and this costume makes for a sexy clown.

A costume like this will allow you to be as goofy as you want and not be taken to seriously while still making everybody look and say ” WOW, She Is Sexy! ”

Imagine the naughty things you can get away with while dressed like a clown.

3)Third place goes to the Moulin Rouge Mime costume.

I love this costume for all the same reasons as the clown costume except it also allows a person to be even  a tiny bit more naughty than the clown costume would while still not getting in trouble for doing it. All in black and white.

I was going to make some swingin’  jokes to go along with the Indy line, but I figured that would be to much … plus it would leed me on to puns about finding treasures and the like so I will just leave all that to your own imaginations.

5) The Ally Capone Sexy Gangster Costume.

I know that the sexy gangster idea is not the most original and that each year you most likely see at least one girl dressed up in some sort of gangster outfit, but I liked this costume so much I just had to include it.

One of the reasons I like it is because so far when looking at the new 2009 costume lineup this is also one of the best matching costumes for couples I have seen.

My Heidi Klum’s got milk post reminded me of what may possibly have been my favorite sexy costume advertisements ever.
What are they you ask?
Why – Christina Aguilera’s naughty costume Skechers advertisements of course.
When it comes to sexy costumes being used in an advertisement these ads take the cake.
The 2004 Sketchers ad campaign featured Christina Aguilera as as both naughty and nice in each advertisement. Yep… she played both parts in each ad (double the fun)

Here is Christina Aguilera as both a sexy cop and naughty criminal, or should I say naughty cop and sexy criminal? Works both ways

Christina as both hottie teacher and super sexy schoolgirl. I love both looks - I could not have pictured Christina Aguilera as a hottie teacher before seeing this. Anybody up for staying after school to bang erasers?

Here we have Christina as both the cute patient and the sexy and somehow scary nurse. It must be the giant needle, but scary or not... she is yum, yum, yum in this sexy nurse costume.

I am betting you can understand why I rate these advertisement posters up at the top now that you are looking at them.
I am also betting if you don’t dig Christina Aguilera normally you are making an exception at this moment. She looks awesome in these ads. Kudo’s to her, skechers, and the advertisement team who created these great images.

You are probably wondering why you didn’t see these ads more often (if you saw them at all)
Well the reason is that people complained and the ads got banned. To sexy?
Blah…
Some nurse group complained because it made nurses look scary and at the same time made them look like sex objects, The Lolita style schoolgirl and teacher shot got complaints because it gave a bad image to young girls supposedly. I don’t remember what the complaint about the Naughty Officer Costume advertisement was.
However you slice it the ads went away. Big bummer.

What I find strange is that we are bombarded with violence and gross acts on TV,  in the movies, songs, books, magazines…. We have war on the boob tube and the front page of our news publications give us accidents, murders, theft, sickness…. all the nasty stuff of the world is o.k. 
Yet … a little sexuality, a little fantasy, a little thought of role play… NO WAY! 
       It’s just stupid to me.
I don’t run the world however, so I guess I can’t do much about it.

I can however post these ads. I can say they look great and Skechers did an awesome job. I can say that the shoes are pretty cute in a couple of the ads and even though I am not getting paid to have these ads on my blog Skechers is getting a plug just because the ads are awesome.
That’s the kind of thing that happens when you make a cool ad. Even if it does get pulled because some people wanted to complain.
