When I was a kid we didn’t have such amazing special affects in the movies as we do today… but we did have some great actors and actresses … and in the case of Logan’s Run we had a very beautiful female star. Logan’s Run was an amazing special affects masterpiece because they had lazors and that was new!  The film even got the academy award for special affects that year (1976)

By today’s standards the effects are dull and the costumes leave a lot to be desired. The hairstyles are so dated it almost ruins the movie for new generations and the film quality is not up to snuff either.  The original Star Wars suffers in the same way , but less so than Logan’s run. Princess Leia suffers less than Jessica the female lead character of Logan’s run. Jessica however was just as sexy and somehow more provocative at the time than Leia.

Played by Jenny Agutter our female lead is somewhat of a futuristic Eve. She is naive, innocent and lovely.

Her costume is very revealing and tempting, yet the innocence she has makes her more of a pretty thing than a sexy thing.

For those of you who have not seen this movie… Do it! It is classic sci-fi. It is cinematic history. It is great! …. unless of course you can’t stand old movies or old sci- fi… then it is terrible. I personally love it however and think it is worth a watch at least yearly.
