I started a group on Flickr called Sexy girls in naughty costumes and I have spent a good amount of time surfing the other costume groups this week. One thing I noticed was an abundance of Leeloo costumes.
I loved The Fifth Element as did almost everybody that enjoys any sort of sci-fi movies.

           One of the movies main attractions was  Leeloo played by  Milla Jovovich.  People loved her and she was sexy as all get out. It makes since that people would want to dress up as her character and be sexy like Leeloo too. The problem is that most of Leeloo’s costume was the fact that it wasn’t really much of a costume. It was some sort of futuristic bandages strategically placed to cover her up enough to that people wouldn’t freak out about the naked alien running around. She pulled it off beautifully.

Why is it that when ever people talk about Paris Hilton it always gets around to how they don’t like her yet every time she appears in a magizine  it sells like crazy?

Jealousy maybe? I think so for many people. She is rich, attractive, pampered, has fun, and for the most part doesn’t give a crud about what other people think.  I know a lot of men say they don’t like her because it actually angers the women around them. Why would any normal man like a wild , fun, attractive , rich, famous blond?  Oh, must be because she is a bit ditsy. Can’t appeare to like a girl unless they have a degree in biochemistry.

For me one of the reasons I like her (yes I like Paris Hilton) is that she always shows up in costume. No lame party pooper here.  This girl struts it!

As you can see, she digs the costumes. I only posted some I like, you could most assuredly hunt down more if you wished.

My personal favorite is the cop outfit. For those of you who pay attention to this rich party girl I am sure you know that she happened to pick this one just after a short jail visit.

My least favorite is the Jail Bait costume. The writing being so bold and flashy ruins the whole thing for me.

So it’s almost the end of January and Valentines is just around the corner while Christmas is a long ways off. 

What have I been doing?

Shooting Santa’s elves.

How it happened was I had planned on using my very own Christmas decorations from my home for photo shoots after Christmas. I figured I would save some money by bringing the tree and stuff down to my studio. I ordered costumes, lined up models… then didn’t even use my tree or anything else from home. After Christmas I just wanted it packed up and wasn’t into setting it up again and then packing it away afterwards.

Still….. costumes on the way and I had already told people it was elves I was going to be shooting.  I made a makeshift backdrop, the costumes arrived and the shoots began. 

No Valentines pictures this year.

I must say however that I got some very cute and sexy photo sets of Santa’s little helpers.

Green Sassy Elf Costume

I bought a bunch of different costumes from a few different places (you will see most of them on the main sites  march update) and this was by far the most simple and also happened to be the least expensive.  It was also the most versatile and funnest costume of them all. The material is thin, but not so thin it felt super cheep.  It is just thin enough to actually add some extra tease potential to the costume. Kind of like thin pajamas that just curve just so perfecttly to the skin. It was stretchy and the girls were very comfortable in it. I ended up using this costume the most.

One lucky thing was that I ordered it in 3 sizes and multiples in size small. Now i am set for next year too!

Of course I will be doing the Christmas shoots next year in November so the models can get copies before Christmas and so I can shoot New Years stuff in December and actually be ready for Valentines.

At least that’s the current plan. Cross your fingers I stay on schedule.

A couple months ago Jennifer Aniston appeared in a sexy french maid outfit on ‘30 Rock’ and it cause a bunch of  hoopla as Jennifer has a lot of fans that think she is the cat’s meow.  I however who pays way to much attention to sexy girls in cute costumes immediately thought of the last time she wore a french maid costume a couple years back in the movie  ’ Friends with Money‘  and started mentally comparing.

I remembered the look of the Friends with money costume pretty well. Jennifer is a good looking gal, but not one of my favorites usually, and I liked her in the costume. It was simple, traditional, elegant and fit her look perfectly.

On 30 Rock something was off for me.

The strange thing about this is that the costume from 30 Rock is more my style. It’s fun, it’s sexy, it’s playful and full of that tease factor that can make a costume so wonderful. It is perfectly darling to say the least.

At first I thought it was her character on the show. She plays a rather unstable sort that really turns me (and most men) in the other direction. Yet that really wasn’t it.  It was just a case of  who was wearing the costume in general. It just wasn’t as right on her as the more traditional french maids costume was.  She just plain has the perfect features for that classic look. She is believable in it… she fits the fantasy of what just may be that dream maid. 

So, as I see it… the 30 Rock outfit (that I just love to death) just wasn’t as suited to her. The classic style costume she wore in Friends with Money was. Case closed.

In closing I must say that I really like both costumes on her. She looks great in both, this was one of those comparisons very like what cola tastes better, it was hard to say and very close. I certainly wouldn’t complain if Jennifer Aniston paid me a visit in either costume.

We all dress up for Halloween. Some of us dress up for Christmas and New Years. I like to get all done up in green for St Patrick’s and I have even been star spangles for the 4th…. but hardly anybody gets dolled up for Valentines. Why?

Valentines is one of  the best of  holidays for getting into costume. The main reason for this is because your sweetheart has most likely never had somebody dress up for him on Valentines day.

You will be the number one memory he has of valentines for the rest of his life. Doubt it not.

It’s a tough number to top… coming home and you find your honey bunny all dolled up in a sexy valentines costume. Some mood lighting and wine to pull it together and you have platinum hit on your hands.
Check my things not to forget list You can’t go wrong with this plan.
